Estampes Pliées

From 16 to 28 May 2025, the Centre François Mitterrand in Le Breuil will be celebrating the Fête nationale de l'estampe with "Estampes Pliées", an original exhibition devoted to leporellos: art books that fold out like accordions.
30 original works created by students in the Matrice-Impressions-Estampe workshop at the École Média Art du Grand Chalon, under the direction of Catherine Vageon, will be on show. Blending traditional printmaking techniques with contemporary experiments, this exhibition is an ode to the modernity of printed art.
The vernissage will take place on Friday 16 May at 6.30pm, followed by a presentation, discussion and signing session with Hélène Lamarche, a visual artist renowned for her work combining textiles, writing and the visual arts.
Creative workshops will also be on offer:
- Embroidered cyanotype (Friday 16 May)
- Embroidered inks (Saturday 17 May)
- Introduction to screen printing (Saturday 17 May)
- Making personalised notebooks (Wednesday 21 May)
These workshops are open to all ages, and you need to register with the library.
