The universe is said to be infinite. Undefinable, at once blurred, distant and present beneath our feet. Life is attached to it, similar, perhaps synonymous, also combined with an unfathomable mystery. To paint is to affirm one's own existence, here and now. An existence full of doubts, hesitant and discreet, limited and temporary, and yet one that welcomes these two giants within it. After training as a teacher and a second year at the Geneva Fine Arts School (ESAV), Swiss-born Christine Sutter moved to France in 2014. Alongside her artistic activity (painting, stained glass, ceramics), she also runs the RegArt gallery in Joncy.
