To cross Génelard, the Canal du Centre passes through a trench almost 500 m long and 15 m deep, built entirely of cut stone.
An interpretation trail has been laid out along the trench, enabling visitors to discover the history of the village and its development as a result of navigation on the canal.
Information panels in French and English. QR codes provide access to translations of the texts into German and Dutch.
