The Ciry-le-Noble library will be welcoming the Zumbo company with their show Exode on Thursday 20 November at 6pm.

After four years' work on the memories of migrants who have arrived in Le Creusot since the 20th century, Matías Chebel has drawn on his family history and his own experience as an exile to give us a universal story full of humanity, paying tribute to migrants of all times. Conceived as a recital-concert, the show is woven together of texts by Matías Chebel with songs from all over the world, a new territory to which the artist willingly goes to become a stranger once again.

At the same time, from 18/11 to 13/12, the exhibitions "Corps de migrants" and "Murs/Murs" will be on show at the library.
The "Murs Murs" project is a continuation of Matías Chebel's work with the people of Le Creusot and its surrounding area. Initially conceived as an outdoor visual show, it took on its definitive form following an invitation from the management of the Creusot-Montceau Ecomuseum. Featuring video portraits of immigrants who have settled in the region at various times, the exhibition highlights the migratory flows that have nurtured the area. It has been designed to evolve over time, in three different sections: "Migrations d'hier" (Yesterday's migrations), focusing on migratory movements in the 20th century; "Migrations d'aujourd'hui" (Today's migrations), focusing on migrations at the start of this century; and "Migrations Modernes" (Modern migrations), focusing on the political, social and cultural issues raised by migratory movements in a constantly changing world.
The exhibition "Corps de Migrants", produced by the Creusot-Montceau Ecomuseum as a follow-up to the Murs Murs exhibition, features photographs by the artist Hanicka Andrès and woodcuts created by the Atelier du Coin (a social integration workshop in Montceau-les-Mines).
