As October draws to a close, only silence pervades the corridors of the old building, a silence that plays tricks with the sun's rays, cleverly kept at bay by the shutters, which are closed until the fine weather returns.
It is said that on certain evenings, a mysterious mist glides over the parquet and marble floors while the paintings creak on the walls without anyone touching them. No local will take the path leading up to the gates without some trepidation, as their ancestors have told them of the scares that escape from the place once the sun goes down.
