Digoine en Fanfare

The Château de Digoine team is delighted to invite you to the second edition of our Digoine en Fanfare event.

This day will provide an opportunity to organise a major meeting between the region's brass bands and the public. Musicians will be invited to play in the park and gardens of the château, giving them an opportunity to promote their band or federation. As part of the event, a panel of judges will travel from band to band, awarding three prestigious trophies at the end of the day:


The Digoine Cup for the most grandiose musical group

The prize for the most original brass band

The prize for the most promising brass band


Digoine en Fanfare is open to orchestras of any category (woodwind, brass, percussion) with at least 15 musicians and a varied repertoire (jazz, swing, street music, world music, stories, waltzes, military, films and series, etc.).

The domain will open to the public at 10am. Each orchestra will be set up in a defined area around the château, depending on the number of musicians and the style on offer.


10 orchestras and over 300 musicians will be present:

The Pouilly-sous-Charlieu wind band (last year's winners) ;

La garde imperiale de Chenove ;

The Sanvignes wind band;

The Diou brass band;

The Simandre brass band;

The Verreries de Blanzy brass band;

The SMS Big Band ;

Le Réveil Musical de Marcigny ;

L'harmonie de Paray-le-Monial ;

L'Élan Palingeois...

The musicians will play for the public 2 times 30 minutes in the morning (from 10.30am to 12pm) with a break between the two sessions, then 2 times 45 minutes in the afternoon (from 2.30pm to 4.30pm) under the same conditions.

From 12 noon to 2pm, catering will be provided by the Domaine des Marguerites (Paray-le-Monial).

The interior of the château is not open to visitors on this day.
