Journées européennes du patrimoine : conférence "Louise Michel, l'Archange de la Commune"

To mark the 155th anniversary of the 1871 Commune in Le Creusot, Le Creusot Town Hall, the Le Creusot Montceau Ecomuseum, historian Patrick Serre and the 26 March 1871 Association, Le Creusot and its president, Alain Rolland, are organising this public and free lecture at the Château de la Verrerie, open to all, to mark the 2026 European Heritage Days.

The historian, writer and lecturer Patrick Serre will introduce the audience to the extraordinary story of Louise Michel (1830–1905), a key figure in the Paris Commune who served as a model for the Commune of Le Creusot, proclaimed on 26 March 1871.
