The Skokiaan Brass Band embodies the explosive energy of New Orleans-style brass bands, enhanced by funk, soul, jazz, Caribbean and African influences.
Following a formative trip to New Orleans in 2015, the band released *We Need Music!* (2018), followed by *The French Touch* (2020), produced by Kirk Joseph, a legend of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. A tour of Togo in 2022 opened up new musical horizons, enriching their repertoire with African flavours. Their latest album, *Skoki Mama*...The Skokiaan Brass Band embodies the explosive energy of New Orleans-style brass bands, enhanced by funk, soul, jazz, Caribbean and African influences.
