La Maison d'École

With its china inkpots, old-fashioned ink dip pens, and its blackboard, feel all the atmosphere of an old-time classroom in this museum located in the first public school built in Montceau at the end of the 19th century, when free compulsory public education was established in France. A second classroom evokes memories of the period of the 1960’s.
